The Cheltenham BID (Business Improvement District) started operating in August 2016.

Following a successfull ballot, where  80% of voting businesses were in favour of its  continuation, Cheltenham BID  began its  second term on 1 August 2021.

BIDs deliver a range of projects that benefit businesses in a defined area. In Cheltenham, the BID zone covers the town centre, including the High Street, The Promenade, Montpellier and The Brewery Quarter.

The BID will run for a further four years and eight months, at which point another ballot would need to be held for it to continue.
