A colourful summer ahead for Cheltenham in 2026

As Cheltenham heads into another busy summer season, preparations are underway to enhance the town centre with vibrant, welcoming floral displays and cleaner, greener streets.

BID in Bloom 2026

Building on the success of previous years, BID in Bloom this year will see hanging baskets, planters and troughs installed across the BID area from May through to October. Displays will brighten balconies, walls and railings throughout the town centre, helping to create an attractive, people‑friendly environment for residents, visitors and businesses alike.

More than 150 floral displays will be installed by the BID team, PHE Greenleaf and Watkins Iles Limited this summer, providing long‑lasting colour while reducing water usage. Sustainability continues to play a growing role in how we design and maintain our planting, reflecting Cheltenham’s wider environmental ambitions.

This initiative remains one of our most popular seasonal projects, with local businesses consistently highlighting the positive impact it has on footfall, first impressions and the overall atmosphere of the town.
