If your business operates on the periphery of the Cheltenham BID boundary, or you are within the BID area but below the levy threshold, you can still become part of the Cheltenham BID by joining as a Voluntary Member. Voluntary Membership allows businesses to engage with BID initiatives, benefit from BID services, and contribute to making Cheltenham a thriving place for businesses.

Who Can Become a Voluntary Member?

Businesses located outside the Cheltenham BID boundary
Businesses within the BID area that are below the levy threshold
Existing levy‑paying businesses wishing to make an additional voluntary contribution

All applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with the BID’s objectives and priorities.

Cost of Voluntary Membership

For businesses below the £15,000 threshold, a minimum annual contribution of £150 applies. Your contribution helps fund projects and services that directly support Cheltenham’s business community.

How to Apply

Becoming a Voluntary Member is straightforward.

To apply or to discuss whether Voluntary Membership is right for your business, please contact the Cheltenham BID team or complete the Voluntary Membership application form. Voluntary contributions will entitle your business to access to all Cheltenham BID initiatives. If you are based within the town centre this includes visits from the business ambassadors.
