Safer Streets: Working in partnership with key town partners, the BID invests in public safety initiatives to improve the safety of Cheltenham town centre and to reduce anti-social behaviour. We work closely with the police, Cheltenham Safe, the neighbourhood team, Solace and others to tackle street drinking.
Keeping Cheltenham town centre safe, welcoming and well-managed is a shared responsibility.
We work closely with Gloucestershire Constabulary, Cheltenham Borough Council and our partners to tackle street-level issues, maintain a clean environment and support a positive experience for everyone who lives, works and visits Cheltenham.
Reporting concerns promptly helps ensure they reach the right team quickly and can be dealt with effectively.
Businesses and staff are encouraged to report:
If you’ve witnessed or been affected by a crime that is not an emergency, please report it via the Gloucestershire Constabulary website, where it will be sent directly to the control room.
To make reporting quick and easy, we provide QR code posters (below) for businesses to display in staff areas. Staff can simply scan the code to report a crime, safety concern or street-level issue in just a few steps.
Bike Marking is a great way to get your bike security marked for free and added to Bike Register. All you need to do is come along to one of our events with your bike, complete a registration form, be armed with a valid email address and a home or mobile phone number.
Bike crime is one of ours and the Gloucestershire Constabulary priorities and we want to register as many people as possible on the Bike Register database to prevent bikes being stolen and help reunite previously stolen bikes with their owners.
