Brewhouse and Kitchen confirms exciting glow-up ahead of reopening party and milestone 10th birthday celebrations
Monday April 20, 2026
One of The Brewery Quarter’s most loved venues, Brewhouse and Kitchen, is preparing to welcome guests back with a fresh new look after closing for 10 days for an exciting refurbishment.
The popular brewpub is undergoing a full venue refresh – a glow-up designed to breathe new life into the space while preserving the character and atmosphere that regulars know and love. New accents will be added to the existing furnishings, creating a revitalised and contemporary feel throughout the venue.
Importantly, the venue’s iconic large copper brewing kettles will remain proudly in place, continuing to produce the much-loved range of beers brewed on site.
Doors will officially reopen on Friday 1 May, with an exclusive invite-only reopening party from 5pm to celebrate the venue’s refreshed look and renewed energy. Throughout the day, loyal customers and new visitors alike will be invited to pop in and be among the first to sample the pub’s brand-new summer menu, which will be unveiled as part of the celebrations.
The excitement continues later in the month as the brewpub marks a major milestone – its 10th birthday on Saturday 16 May.
To celebrate a decade at The Brewery Quarter, the venue will be offering its own brewed beers and ciders at their original 2016 prices of just £4.50, with cask ales available for only £3.50 a pint for one day only.
Head Brewer Matt Barr is currently brewing a special in-house Double IPA at 8% ABV especially for the occasion, while guests can also enjoy feature guest beers from local favourite Shandy Shack.
The birthday celebrations promise something for everyone, with a packed line-up of family-friendly entertainment and live music throughout the day. From midday, there will be face painting, arts and crafts for children, and an open brewery day, giving visitors a flavour of the venue’s popular brewing masterclasses.
As the evening begins, guests can enjoy live blues music from 5pm, followed by a DJ set from 8pm to keep the party going into the night. A celebratory birthday cake will also be shared with lucky customers, who can enjoy a slice as part of the festivities.
The team will also be using the day to support its charity of the year, Cheltenham Open Door, raising funds for the local cause throughout the event.
Renata Hajszter, General Manager at Brewhouse and Kitchen, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be celebrating 10 successful years here at The Brewery Quarter. Over the past decade we have built a wonderful community of loyal regulars, beer lovers and families who have made this place so special. This refurbishment is all about injecting fresh energy into the brand while keeping everything people already love about us – from our brewing heritage to our welcoming atmosphere. We cannot wait to reopen our doors on 1 May and celebrate this exciting new chapter with everyone.”
Nikki Kontarines, Director of Martin Commercial Properties, managing agents of The Brewery Quarter, said:
“Brewhouse and Kitchen has been an important and much-valued part of The Brewery Quarter for the past 10 years, and this latest investment demonstrates a strong commitment to both the venue and the wider scheme. It is fantastic to see continued confidence in the destination, and we are delighted to support this refurbishment as Brewhouse and Kitchen prepares to welcome guests back with a fresh new look and renewed vibrancy.”
The refurbishment and anniversary celebrations underline Brewhouse and Kitchen’s continued popularity as one of Cheltenham’s standout hospitality destinations, combining freshly brewed beers, great food and memorable experiences in the heart of The Brewery Quarter.
