Cheltenham BID Board Recruitment

Following our successful renewal ballot in October 2025, we are now preparing for the start of our third term on 1 April 2026, which will run until 31 March 2031.
Our BID company is managed by a small staff team and governed by a Board of Directors. The Company Articles permit a maximum of 15 Directors, and we currently have 5 vacancies. Directors are required to be levy paying businesses within the town and we are always keen to ensure a good breadth of skills and representation from across the town.
All Directors give their time voluntarily and are required to attend all Board meetings as well as some other occasional activities and meetings throughout the year. This usually amounts to approximately 8-10 meetings per year, usually of maximum 2-hour duration each. These meetings are hosted in the BID offices or a local Cheltenham business.
No prior Board experience is required but consideration of the particular skills and experience you can bring would be helpful to be referenced in your Expression of Interest application.
We have already been approached by some businesses interested in applying but we are keen to open this process up to all levy-paying businesses.
Expressions of Interest before 16 January 2026, please submit a brief resume with a covering email/letter including your name, company name, position within the business, sector that your business falls within, and the skills you think you would bring to the Board. Please submit to info@cheltenhambid.co.uk for consideration at our Board meeting on 20 January 2026.
All valid applications will be passed to Directors for review and in the event that there are more applications than vacancies, an election process will be held within the board meeting.
