Lucinda O’Gorman has been the store manager at Marks and Spencer since March this year. She joined the BID Board in May, after being voted in by the national retail sector.
Lucinda’s background is in retail management and retail recruitment. She has worked for both national and international retailers developing their brands, working alongside local communities, and developing talent across the south west.
Cheltenham-born, Lucinda has a vast knowledge of what drives people to keep coming back to our town and has seen some major changes over the years. In her role she experiences first-hand what the community truly thinks of our High Street today. She said: “Cheltenham offers so much to visitors, whether it be the exciting events, showstoppers at the Everyman and a wealth of different shopping and hospitality experiences.”
A firm believer in collaborative partnerships, Lucinda feels that by building links with local businesses and working together, we can promote the profile of Cheltenham and bring customers back to town, whatever time of day.
Lucinda says: “I believe the BID provides a fantastic opportunity for businesses to share and collaborate together to make Cheltenham a truly fantastic place to visit and live.”
