Your chance to quiz Cheltenham’s election candidates tonight

Are our elected politicians doing enough to help your business?

BID businesses have the chance to put Cheltenham’s general election candidates on the spot tonight.

They  are being encouraged to make sure the candidates know about the issues that matter to them ahead of the vote on June 8.

The hustings event is being held at St Philip and St James Church, Grafton Road, Leckhampton, GL50 2DL from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

It follows a similar event held at Trinity Church in Winchcombe Street on May 19.

The candidates (listed alphabetically by surname) are: Alex Chalk (Conservative), Martin Horwood (Liberal Democrat), Adam Van Coevorden (Green Party) and Keith White (Labour Party).

One BID business that is encouraging customers to use their right to vote is Neal’s Yard Remedies in Montpellier Street. They are offering a 10 per cent discount on all products to customers who bring along their polling card to the shop on the day of the election.
