A full house for Marketing Cheltenham as they launch The Festival Town

Marketing Cheltenham, a joint initiative between the BID and Cheltenham Borough Council, was established in 2017 to grow Cheltenham’s visitor economy, putting the town back on the tourism map and supporting local economic growth.

A five-year strategy has been developed with the ambition to grow Cheltenham’s visitor economy by five percent year on year.

Over the past few months, Marketing Cheltenham has expanded and now has a team of five professional marketeers whose time is solely dedicated to encouraging more visitors to come to the town, stay longer and return more frequently.

Headed up by David Jackson, the team has a Marketing and PR Executive – Emma Gill; an Events Manager – Jess Goodwin; a Digital Marketing Executive – Lisa Kowalkowski and a Commercial Partnership Manager – Tara Sanchez.

The team launched ‘The Festival Town’ on July 10.  There are currently 25 festivals held in Cheltenham each year, which is what makes Cheltenham stand out from other destinations.

As part of the rebrand, you will see the Visit Cheltenham  website has a fresh, new look. You’ll also see new Festival Town banners and Tourist Information Points around town.

The team want to see a vibrant, everchanging and informative website and are always looking for content.  Have you got something special happening for the summer holidays?  Are you launching a new menu, holding cocktail masterclasses or foodie tasting sessions? What ‘back to school’ offers would you like promoted? Please email Emma Gill at Emma.Gill@marketingcheltenham.co.uk with up to 600 words and a good quality image and your content could appear on Visit Cheltenham – there’s no cost for BID businesses.

Please remember to use the #TheFestivalTown in all your social media posts.
