With the dawn of spring, preparations are underway to bring vibrant floral displays to all areas of the BID zone.
BID in Bloom 2020 will see baskets and troughs full of plants adoring balconies, walls and railings from June through to October.
Businesses from Portland Street to Montpellier will be enjoying a summer of colour when we install more than 100 displays to the town.
This will be the third year we’ve run BID in Bloom and the feedback from businesses has been very positive. Allun Griffiths, Manager of The Spectre, said: “The hanging baskets outside The Spectre really soften and brighten up the Strand area of Cheltenham.”
To make sure the town looks attractive and complements the blooms, we will be arranging several Tidy Up Cheltenham campaigns.
Starting in March in Grosvenor Terrace, the BID team and local businesses will be out and about litter picking, weeding, cleaning graffiti and stickers from bins and lamp posts. As part of the Town Centre Team we will also be joined by partners from Cheltenham Borough Council’s Environmental Health department in other areas of the town centre.
